Ayurvedic Home Remedies for Nervousness

Nervousness is a feeling of impatience, anxiety, uneasiness and worry that a person goes through when he faces a traumatic condition. The best technique to deal with the nervousness would be to understand the cause of worry and take defensive action. At the same time, there are some easy home remedies that can work constructively in controlling nervousness. Some easy and effective home remedies for nervousness prevention are:
  1. The easiest and most effective home remedy for nervousness would be to put a drop of primrose oil on the tongue.

  2. Oranges are very effective in treatment of nervousness. Inhale the aroma of orange when you are peeling it. Otherwise, soak an orange in a container of boiling water and breathe in the vapors of that water.

  3. Take 2 tablespoons honey and mix it with1 teaspoon nutmeg. Now add this mixture in a cup of orange juice and drink the mixture.

  4. Grate two onions and mix about 2 cups celery to it. Eat this combination in food or as salad. It would help to reduce the restiveness.

  5. Massage your feet gently with rosemary oil. Otherwise boil some dried rosemary herb in hot water and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. After that drain the solution and drink it when a bit cool. It is also very useful in nervousness treatment.

  6. Add 1/3 cup each of baking soda and ginger in bath tub, which is filled with lukewarm water. Than enjoy a warm bath.

  7. Persons who are suffering from shivering hands and finger control difficulty, daily two cups of tea with one tablespoon of honey in each cup, would prove helpful.

  8. Soak 10 or 12 almonds in water for one night. Next morning peel them and add adequate water to make a paste. Then add one tsp nutmeg and a pinch of ginger in it. Have this paste before going to bed.
