Ayurvedic Home Remedies for Mania

Mania can be easily treated by home remedies. Mania or bipolar disorder can be deal very efficiently by following a healthy diet, maintaining a steady and proper schedule and knowing the conditions and people that prompt a period of mania.
  1. Avoid foods those are high in fat or salt, and caffeine. Eliminating caffeine from diet totally will help in treatment of mania. As caffeine is a drug, lots of mania patients will consume caffeine in order to improve their sad mood. But caffeine can obstruct some medications and can activate episodes of mania. Higher consumption omega-3 fatty acid is beneficial in mania treatment. Omega-3's can be found in fish and other sea foods. If someone does not like fish then one can also take daily omega-3 supplements.

  2. Mania or bipolar disorder patient should maintain a consistent sleep schedule. Set a proper bedtime and morning wake time and follow that schedule strictly. Seven to eight hours of sleep at night is necessary, so make sure that you are taking required hours sleep. Lack of sleep and nourishment can cause mania.

  3. Patients with mania or bipolar disorder should avoid alcohol and drugs. Alcohol and drug exploitation can be life-threatening, particularly when used in combination with the medicine required to treat the disease. Alcohol and drugs can also activate occurrence of mania.

  4. Some circumstances and people that cause high tension, pressure and anxiety must be avoided. If you know that some specific circumstances cause you nervous, avoid that activity. Bound you with positive people and avoid negatives.
