Lethargy is a state that makes a person undergo sluggishness, drowsiness and exhausted. In such conditions, a person feels least concerned about his surroundings. Sufferer feels low energy level, become inactive, and carries an approach of unconcern. One of the main causes of lethargy is depression. There are many other causes of lethargy, like adrenal gland disorders, high and low blood pressure, measles, diabetes, constipation, thyroid gland disorders and overdose of alcohol or drugs. - Hot water bath is very beneficial in putting off the lethargic feeling.

- The easiest and most helpful home remedy for lethargy treatment would be a cup of tea made from holy basil leaves. For tea preparation, take some holy basil leaves and add them in one cup water. Now boil this water for around 5 minutes and after boiling strain this mixture and have it when warm.
- Another easy and effective home remedy for curing lethargy would comprise of a glass of fresh lime juice. Take one glass water and squeeze half lime in it. Add pinch of salt for flavor. Drink this juice daily.
- It is important to make your body hydrated, for that increase the consumption of vegetables, fruits, and grains, like millet in your daily diet. It would help in restoring your spirits. Also sprout diet once in 15 days is efficient in getting over the feeling of lethargy.
- Someone feel lethargic when they are involved in boring or unexciting works. So, it is better to invest your time in doing those works which you love to do.
- Avoid consuming canned food or processed food. Cold beverages like cold drinks, soda and heavy drinks like rich cream milk should also be avoided. Especially avoid alcohol and drugs as much as you can.
- Exercising daily is best way to free oneself of the feeling of lethargy. Regular exercise makes one physically more energetic and lively.
- Massage your body with essential oils, like eucalyptus oil and rosemary oil, is also very helpful in treatment of lethargy.
